Car Part: Scanned, Reverse Engineered & Printed

We were tasked with replacing a damaged lower body trim piece located at the corner ahead of the wheel. Since one side was broken while its mirror-image counterpart remained intact, we 3D scanned the good part, rebuilt the geometry in CAD, and 3D printed a replacement. As shown installed on the vehicle, the finished piece fit flush and aligned cleanly with the surrounding panels on the first try.

The client was thrilled with how the part turned out. After installing it and seeing it fit perfectly, his reaction said it all: "You killed it."
